Despite real problems confronting immigrants and concerns related to social cohesion, Canadian multiculturalism is working well in comparison with other major immigrant receiving countries, says renowned pollster, social analyst and author Michael Adams. Adams, author of the recently published book Unlikely Utopia, presented a compelling set of studies and statistics at a community dialogue organised by Peel Newcomer Strategy Group (PNSG) at the Living Arts Center in Mississauga on February 24, 2009 depicting Canada as a country that is optimistic and adaptable.
